Hello everyone! today I am sharing one of my homemade dog food recipes that I love to prepare for my dogs. This recipe is simple, yet packs a host of healthy and flavorful ingredients that my dogs love and I’m sure yours will too. Be sure to check with your vet before introducing new things into your dogs diet and let me know if you’d like to see more videos like this in the future. Ciao! ~XOXO 💋

Dopetastic Doggy Pasta Recipe 🐶

*50 mins Cooking time (depending on desired pasta consistency)

2 Cups Macaroni
3 Cups Mixed Peas and Carrots
8-12 whole cranberries
4 fish oil capsules (Warning: USE OIL ONLY, discard capsules)
2 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 TBSP BlackStrap Molasses

Directions: Bring four cups of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt (optional), then add two cups of Macaroni noodles. Once noodles are slightly more cooked then al dente (about 13-15 minutes into cooking time), add peas and carrots and adjust heat to medium. Allow mixture to simmer for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. After the 25 minutes, add whole cranberries and allow to simmer for an additional 10 minutes, continuing to stir occasionally. Once meal is complete add Omega 3 Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Blackstrap Molasses. As a final touch, you could also add unseasoned, fully cooked boneless chicken breast or thighs as a side or incorporated into the dish. I hope your Poochkins enjoy !

*Please note, to make this meal vegan, just eliminate the fish oil tabs and replace/substitute them with an omega 3 supplement of your choice. Also you can drain some of the liquid off of your pasta. The liquid level is a personal preference as well as the noodle texture. You can stop cooking the noodles when they reach your desired texture. My dogs love softer noodles so I cook them a bit longer, you can follow my recipe exactly or adjust it according to your personal preference.

Blackstrap Molasses is rich in vitamins and minerals such as B6, calcium and iron. Just one tablespoon is said to have as much calcium as a glass of milk. It’s loaded with manganese which is not only an antioxidant, but supports cognitive function, fights the effects of diabetes, supports respiratory and bone health and has a load of many other benefits. I encourage everyone to look up the rest of the ingredients and the benefits as they are amazing for your dogs! Thank you guys for watching and I’ll see you in my next video! 💕 ❤️💝
