MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price)

MSRP is the manufacturer's suggested retail price, the price the brand recommends retailers charge. Actual retail prices for dog food are usually below MSRP at major retailers (Chewy, Petco, Amazon) and above MSRP at small independent pet stores. MSRP is the reference price for comparing brand-to-brand pricing without the noise of individual retailer markups. Most premium brands publish MSRP on their websites. The actual price you pay will depend on retailer, subscribe and save discounts, and seasonal promotions.
